Gisele Bündchen says before Tom Brady split she was ‘surviving’

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady sent shockwaves through fan earlier this year as they announced their divorce after becoming one of the show business’ most celebrated couples. Now, the supermodel has spoke out on the split and how it affected her life, as she revealed she went from just ‘surviving’ to ‘living’. In her interview with Lee Cowan for CBS News, Gisele highlighted that the former power couple ‘grew apart’ prior to their separation. She said, per DailyMail.co.uk: ‘I think before I was more surviving, and now I’m living, which is different.’ Gisele recently opened up about the ‘tough’ few years she faced, which not only saw the public end of her marriage but uprooting her family from Boston, Massachusetts to Tampa Bay, Florida, for Brady’s final seasons of the sport and adjusting to the COVID-19 pandemic just like other parents. It’s been a lot–in every area of my life,’ she shared. ‘I feel like whenever it rains, it pours.’ ‘With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings,’ she added. The biggest adjustment came from the divorce and relocating, which saw the model and her kids with Brady, Ben, 13, and Vivian, 10, finally settling down in Miami, which allowed them to finally transition from home-schooling, which started during the pandemic, to going back to regular school. It’s just all new,’ she told PEOPLE . ‘But they’re really liking it and they’re getting into their things.’ Among those things are swimming and horse jumping for her daughter, while her son has been learning the piano and started playing football like his famous father. Gisele explained: ‘I think, for me, success means that I have raised children who have [the] right values. You know what I mean?’ ‘Because then, whenever I’m ready to leave, I know I have left something behind that is beautiful and that is an asset versus something different,’ she said.
