They recently shared a video about a lesser-known holiday resort that's been compared to the Maldives. A caption over the video read: "There's a place in Africa with waters much bluer than the Maldives, welcome to Egypt 's North Coast. The waters here are extremely blue like Gatorade (an American drink)." In the footage , users could see crystal-clear waters lapping a white sandy beach. Parasols, sunbeds , and deckchairs were dotted along the beach overlooking the clear waters. The footage has been viewed more than 91,000 times, with users jumping into the comments to share their opinions. One person wrote: "Those waters are bright blue." A second person added: "I've been to three different islands in the Maldives, and the water was the same colour blue." The footage was shot at the Al-Alamein Hotel on Egypt's Mediterranean coast in the north of the country. Set in Sidi Abd El Rahman Bay, the Al-Alamein Hotel lies right on the beach.
