The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’s Will Smith proved he was still as close to his former co-star Alfonso Ribeiro now as they were back in the nineties as he wished him well on his birthday.
Will Smith proved that his friendship with his Fresh Prince of Bel Air co-star Alfonso Ribeiro was still going strong as he wished him a happy birthday.
Actor Alfonso turned 52 years old on Thursday, and amongst his slew of well-wishers was his good friend Will, who took to his Instagram platform to celebrate his big day. Oscar-winner Will shared a snap of him holding a sequinned pillow with the New Yorn-born star’s face from his Fresh Prince days on it. Will made a funny face for the selfie, which he captioned: “Happy Bday to my guy, the GOAT, @therealalfonsoribeiro!!”
King Richard actor Will also wished him a happy birthday in another image shared to his Instagram Story of them two together recently. Will’s fans were delighted with the picture of the former co-stars, with one person commenting: “You guys are hilarious. I miss the fresh prince.” Another wrote: “Two of THE most icon brothers from 90s television shows,” while a third added: “@willsmith Love it, my childhood was awesome,” with prayer hand emojis.
Will and Alfonso both skyrocketed to fame in the hugely popular nineties sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, which followed the life of a fictionalised version of Smith â a streetwise teenager sent to live with his wealthy aunt and uncle in their Bel Air mansion after getting into a fight in his hometown of Philadelphia. It ran for six seasons from 1990 to 1996.
