Two suspects sought by police after a family of four was murdered have been found dead from a gunshot wound.
Alberto Rolon, 38, Zoraida Bartolomei, 32, and their two boys, who were 7 and 9, and three dogs were found dead at their home in Romeoville, Illinois, following a welfare check by police on Sunday evening.
Cops identified Nathaniel Huey Jr., 31, and a woman in a relationship with him as suspects following the fatal shooting. The woman, who has not been named, was reported missing by her family on Tuesday evening, according to authorities. But on Wednesday morning, cops in Catoosa, Oklahoma, were informed of a car that matched the licence plate of the missing couple’s car.
The suspect’s car attempted to drive away during a traffic stop and crashed, before going up in flames. As officers approached the car, it is believed they heard two gunshots and discovered a woman in the passenger seat with a gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The man was found in the driver’s seat dead following the gunshot wound.
