And in yet another blow, the closest garage to those in Springside is a whopping 13 miles away. Arnold Clark Kia, in Ayr, is now tasked with taking on all the customers from the former branch. Kia has said that anyone looking to buy a car, have a service or MOT or aftersales should now contact the new dealership. It comes after a huge change was announced for a dealership which sells Fords, Hyundais and Kias. Pendragon, which is one of the largest motor retailers in the UK, has agreed to sell its brands. These include Evans Halshaw, Stratstone and CarStore, for £250million to the US giant Lithia. Evans Halshaw holds dealerships for 10 brands, including Citroen, Dacia, DS, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault and Vauxhall.
