Commuters face rail chaos after heavy rain causes ‘major disruption’

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Rail passengers are waking up to cancelled and altered services this morning following heavy rain overnight.

There have been a number of yellow weather warnings from the Met Office in place across the UK as we face a double whammy of the remnants of Hurricane Lee, followed by the remnants of Hurricane Nigel this weekend.

There were warnings for rain covering parts of south east England from 4pm on Wednesday, which remained in place until 3am today.

Commuters who usually travel through Stevenage will face disruption this morning after damage to overhead electrical wires caused the closure of all lines via the station.
