EV drivers who forked out tens of thousands of pounds for new cars have been dealt a huge blow.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak last night revealed the hated ban on new petrol and diesel cars will be delayed by five years until 2035.
Speaking from Downing Street, the MP hailed The Sun’s Give Us A Brake campaign as he tore up expensive net zero policies.
It comes after drivers splashed out large chunks of cash on new EV motors to try to fit in with the 2030 plan.
Calls for an change came at a time when Brits were already struggling with money, with hopes the ban could be pushed until the nation is prepared and drivers can afford the switch to electric vehicles.
