Liverpool predicted XI vs LASK as Jurgen Klopp could hand rare start to “exceptional” star

Jurgen Klopp is expected to shuffle his pack as Liverpool begin their Europa League campaign in Austria before hosting West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon

Liverpool find themselves in the unfamiliar position of preparing for Europa League football under Jurgen Klopp, and the manager has some big calls to make against LASK.

The Reds reached the final of the competition during the 2015-16 season, when Klopp took over partway through the campaign. More recently, though, they have become accustomed to enjoying Champions League football on a regular basis.

As Klopp looks to strike a balance between getting the necessary results in Europe and keeping his players fresh for the league, he’ll have to decide just how much to shuffle his pack. Klopp’s team have a league game against West Ham on Sunday as they look to preserve an unbeaten start to the season and push to improve on their fifth-place finish from last term.

The manager will be keen to get wins on the board as early as possible, with Austrian side LASK, Belgium’s Union SG and France’s Toulouse standing in their way. Here, Mirror Football looks at how they might line up for their opener in Linz.
