Additionally, it is said that they are weighing up sacking head coach Stefan Kuntz and replacing him with Joachim Low – the man who won the 2014 World Cup and managed Ozil throughout his entire international career. The move to axe Kuntz may come as a surprise given that he has won 12 of his 20 games in charge of Turkey and has put them in a good place to qualify for Euro 2024.
