Ant and Dec are looking for another version of mini-mes ahead of the return of the show in 2024. The original versions were a big hit on Saturday Night Takeaway when they first appeared
At the peak of their fame, Little Ant and Dec were more popular and more in demand than the real versions.
The pint-sized duo were brought onto Saturday Night Takeaway to give us a double dose of laughs and quickly became the highlight of the show. Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were joined each week by their tiny counterparts, who were getting massive gigs interviewing big-name Hollywood stars, chart-topping pop sensations and even former Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
But a huge problem started to develop, literally, meaning the youngsters were axed from the show and eventually replaced by a new Little Ant and Dec. James Pallister and Dylan McKenna-Redshaw were the Geordie duo’s original young lookalikes – and some even thought they may take over once the presenters retired.
And now, Ant and Dec are looking for another version of mini-mes ahead of the return of the show in 2024. ITV are on the hunt for two “cheeky little chappies” who may fit the bill. They said: “The search has begun to find a brand new little Ant & Dec, we’re looking for two geordie lads between 5-7 who are cheeky little chappies.”
