 Katy Perry has sold the rights to her music – and some of her biggest hits – in a deal worth $225million, it has been claimed. The 38-year-old has belted out some of the most iconic tracks of the last few years, including Teenage Dream, Firework and I Kissed A Girl. According to reports, the singer, ex-wife of Russell Brand, has signed a deal for the sale of five albums to Litmus Music. Multiple US outlets report that the company now owns her stake in the master recordings and publishing for her releases from 2008 to 2020, and will collect royalties on her music in the future. This includes One Of The Boys, the album that shot her into the mainstream, and Smile, her latest offering. Although Katy is yet to address the news publicly, Litmus Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Dan McCarroll said in a statement: 'Katy Perry is a creative visionary who has made a major impact across music, TV, film, and philanthropy. She has also impressed fans with her Las Vegas residency, and her stint on the judging panel on American Idol – with a new series premiering next year.
