Moment stray puppy found starving meets her adopted family

Kenya is a stray dog who was found eating rubbish on the streets of Thailand (Image: YouTube/ PAWsitive) A stay puppy who was abandoned on the streets of Thailand has finally been rescued and is living a happy life in America.  Kanya appears to be a German Shepard mix who was discovered alongside nine other puppies living on the streets and going through rubbish bins by members of the public. She was immediately placed in a LIFE animal rescue , which is an organisation that rescues homeless animals to place them in ‘responsible and loving’ homes.  LIFE appealed to the public for donations in order to find Kenya and the other dogs caring families, and the charity was able to raise money to help find Kenya a new home in Los Angeles, California . Kenya was placed in a crate for over 17 hours to make the long journey, but upon arrival at the airport, she was met with cuddles and head scratches from her new owners, an American couple who already had plenty of experience with animals .  Kenya was able to fly to America for be adopted thanks to the charities LIFE and K9 Aid (Image: YouTube/ PAWsitive) Kenya spent 17 hours flying to find her forever home (Image: YouTube/ PAWsitive) Although it was a very long journey, Kenya was given lots of care and attention as she was placed in the crane wearing a comfy red jumper, a cushioned bed, and toys plus had access to water and food for the long journey. Kenya also did not travel alone, as through donations a volunteer from the charity K9 Aid was able to accompany Kenya on her long flight.  K9 Aid is an organisation which sends animals travelling to be adopted by a passenger, which lessens the cost of travelling and makes sure there is someone looking after the adopted pet during the flight. Kenya’s new loving family immediately took her home from the airport and showed the puppy her new bed, all her new toys as well as introduced her to the cat and other dog they owned, so Kenya will always have someone to play with.  Kenya was immediately cuddled and giving headscratches when she arrived in America (Image: YouTube/ PAWsitive) In the last photograph shown of Kenya, she appears to have settled in quickly into her new home and can be seen cuddling one of her new owners on a couch while looking happy and relaxed.  Kenya’s story has quickly become popular on social media as many people have praised both LIFE and K9 Aid for the effort they took to find her a new home quickly.  One person wrote: ‘To every person who helps rescue and rehabilitate and care for defenceless animals, thank you with all my heart.” Kenya is now living a happy life with her new family (Image: YouTube/ PAWsitive) Another person said: ‘Thank you for saving this little baby, blessing to you and your organisation for helping her find a forever home.’  Someone else commented: ‘What a beautiful ending for some poor little pups, it’s heartwarming to see amazing people helping the helpless.’ Follow Daily Express US on  Facebook  and Twitter  @ExpressUSNews
