Mason Greenwood made his first appearance in football since January 2022 with his debut for Spanish side Getafe and was sent a message by one of his Red Devils’ team-mates mid-game
Amad Diallo expressed his support for Mason Greenwood during the Manchester United forward’s Getafe debut.
Greenwood was sent out on loan to the Spanish side on Deadline Day after the club decided to sever ties with him. Greenwood was previously at the centre of an internal investigation following his arrest.
The 21-year-old was arrested in October last year on suspicion of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Those charges were eventually dropped by the CPS in February. After joining Getafe before the international break, Greenwood was made to wait for his debut, which eventually came on Sunday in a LaLiga clash against Osasuna.
He was introduced as a substitute in the 77th minute of the tie. His introduction received a mixed reception from fans, but Red Devils forward Amad has offered his support.
