Elon Musk defends Russell Brand as ‘serious criminal allegations’ set to surface

Elon Musk defended Russell Brand as he broke his silence ahead of the airing of an upcoming investigation by UK Channel 4’s Dispatches show which includes serious allegations against the comedian

Telsa CEO Elon Musk expressed his support for Russell Brand as “serious criminal allegations” are set to surface against the British comedian this weekend during an upcoming investigation by UK Channel 4’s Dispatches show.

The allegations against the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star have not yet been revealed, but the actor broke his silence ahead of the airing in a two-minute YouTube video. In the clip, the 48-year-old celebrity “absolutely refuted” the claims outlined in a letter and email sent to him from two media outlets and claimed that they were a “coordinated attack” trying to control his voice.

After Russell posted a link to the video on Twitter, billionaire Musk quickly voiced his opinion and came to Russell’s aide, writing: “Of course. They don’t like competition.” Musk, in the Tweet, was referring to Russell frequently challenging mainstream media through his popular YouTube channel with over 6 million subscribers.
