 Steve Martin has hit back at accusations his Little Shop of Horrors co-star Miriam Margolyes made about him in her memoir. After Miriam, 82, claimed he hit her while being careless with a fake punch on the set of the 1986 movie, Steve, 78, issued a lengthy statement insisting he used 'extreme caution' during the scene. The iconic comedian insisted he used 'extreme caution' during filming and added he was 'surprised' by Miriam's claims. Steve also said he remembered himself and Miriam having 'good communication' during filming. He told The Hollywood Reporter: 'When I first read Miriam Margolyes pejorative account of our scene in Little Shop of Horrors, I was surprised. 'My memory is that we had a good communication as professional actors. But when it is implied that I harmed her or was in some way careless about doing the stunts, I have to object.'
