A baby boy has died and three others were rushed to hospital amid reports that they may have consumed fentanyl while at a nursery in the Bronx.
Police were called to a day care centre at 2.40pm on Friday afternoon, a spokesman for the New York Police Department said last night.
Three infants were taken from the nursery to Montefiore Medical Center, the spokesman said.
A one year old boy was pronounced dead, he said. The two other children, a boy of two and a girl of seven months, were in a stable condition.
Before police and paramedics arrived at the nursery, another child, a two year old boy, had already been taken to a separate hospital in the Bronx, a police spokesman said. He
