Travis Hall, 44, went to get a sandwich when he decided to purchase a $20 Monopoly Doubler scratch-off from a Publix in Stuart, Florida. It turned him into an instant millionaire
A lucky man who turned a sandwich run into a £4million ($5million) lottery win confessed he was “trembling” in disbelief.
Travis Hall, 44, purchased a $20 Monopoly Doubler scratch-off from a Publix in Stuart, Florida, while heading to get some lunch. However, just moments later, he scratched off the card and found out he was a millionaire.
“I stopped at Publix to grab a sub and decided to try my luck with a $20 Scratch-Off,” Hall told Lottery officials. “Little did I know, it would turn into a $5 million win! After waiting days to scratch the ticket, I handed it to my wife — my hands were trembling from disbelief at what I was seeing.”
Travis claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Headquarters in Tallahassee and chose to receive his winning as a lump-sum payment of $3,994,698. The business will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
