Erik ten Hag has endured a tumultuous few weeks as Manchester United boss and the pressure is on to reverse his side’s fortunes against Brighton after a disappointing start to the season
Manchester United go into Saturday’s showdown with Brighton knowing a positive result is crucial if they are to address their early season struggles.
United have lost two of their opening four matches and narrowly edged out Wolves and Nottingham Forest in their other two fixtures in what has been an indifferent start for the Red Devils.
Erik ten Hag will know too well his side must be at the races for the visit of Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton, who comfortably beat Newcastle 3-1 last time out before the international break.
But Ten Hag has had a number of off-field problems to attend to as well, with neither Antony nor Jadon Sancho involved in his matchday squad.
