90s comedy legend bags new ITV crime drama about town destroyed by drug dealers

A CRIME wave sweeping the UK will be at the heart of ITV’s latest thriller.

The broadcaster have commissioned the new show, titled Out There, which will tell the story of a quiet countryside town turned upside down by county lines drug dealers.

The drama will feature Men Behaving Badly star Martin Clunes as farmer Nathan Williams, who is forced to confront the dark forces sweeping the rural community.

He fights back against threatening drug lords to prevent son Johnny, played by Louis Ashbourne Serkis, from joining the ever-growing gang.

The series was written by Ed Whitmore and Marc Evans , who were behind Martin’s previous gritty role as a policeman in drama Manhunt.
