Taylor Swift had an eventful night at the VMAs, having scooped up nine awards, fangirled over her favourite boyband NSYNC, and was shown to be surrounded by trays of drinks and her closest pals
Taylor Swift dominated the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards and proved to have had the best time in doing so. The Cardigan singer scooped up nine awards from 11 nominations, becoming the most decorated star at the awards.
Her wins included the top award for for Video of the Year at the end of live show. Accepting her award, she told the audience: “This is unbelievable. The fact this is a fan-voted award means so much to me.”
Taylor also took home Artist of the Year, which featured an all-female shortlist for the first time in history. She also bagged Best Cinematography and visual effects for Anti-Hero, Album of the Year for Midnights and the Show of the Summer trophy.
She had already collected the Song of the Year trophy and the Best Direction award, as well as the Best Pop Video award from the reunited NSYNC. Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick rejoined on stage at the event, and Taylor clearly couldn’t control her excitement.
