BBC newsreader and Mastermind host Clive Myrie has opened up about his fascinating life in a new memoir which will be released this week
BBC newsreader Clive Myrie has revealed the real reason he didn’t have children with his wife of 25 years.
The 59-year-old broadcaster, who also presents BBC quiz show Mastermind, has reported from more than 80 countries during his long career and had postings in Tokyo, Los Angeles and Washington.
He is married to upholsterer and furniture restorer Catherine, who he met at the launch of a book about Swiss cheese in 1992 and said for him it was “love at first sight”.
But the pair, who married six years later, never had children. Now Clive has opened up about their decision as he prepares to release a book about his life called Everything Is Everything: A Memoir Of Love, Hate And Hope.
