Duchess Sophie gorgeous in green dress for United Nations meeting

Duchess Sophie gorgeous in green dress for United Nations meeting (Image: Instagram / educannotwait) Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is a royal style icon, and she looked characteristically fabulous yesterday at a meeting for Education Cannot Wait. Pictured alongside Yasmine Sherif, the royal wore a mid-length green dress. This boasted three-quarter sleeves and a deep V-neckline. Sophie’s dress was the ‘Stormy Hearts’ Midi Tea Dress by Suzannah London, a royal favourite designer. It is not currently available online but UFO No More – Your One Stop Site for all things Royal Fashion, described it as “a fresh new silk tea dress with longer line length, based on our 1930’s silk tea dress cut”. Duchess Sophie’s dress was the ‘Stormy Hearts’ Midi Tea Dress by Suzannah London (Image: Instagram / educannotwait) “Our tea dress is a signature tea dress style because of its flattering nature, unique charm and versatility. Longer line midi length. Sleeve length below the elbow with smocking detail at the outer sleeve. “Centre back zip for step-in-ease. Wear for day with tights boots and cashmere, or style up for events with chic millinery, a sharp blazer and high sandals.” She paired her dress with the Penelope Chilvers High ‘Catalina’ Cotton Espadrille in Stone, which she has been spotted in before. Guide dog Piper, approaching his tenth birthday, is due to retire later this month. Piper and owner Mary were recently invited to Bagshot Park, Berkshire, the home of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron of Guide Dogs pic.twitter.com/SKcmMph4fH — Guide Dogs (@guidedogs) September 10, 2023 She recently wore these when she met adorable guide dog Piper who is due to retire after 10 years of service. The cute sandals, retailed at $165 (around £132), revealed the royal’s fabulously vibrant pedicure. Her burnt orange toenails were lovely, although not super typical of royal women. The royals typically go for nude colours when it comes to nail polish but some royals have rocked vibrant manis and pedis in the past – including Princess Kate with red nails and toenails. Daena Borrowman, marketing manager at jewellerybox, once told Express.co.uk: “Royal women have favoured nude shades of nail paint over bright or dark nail paint. Sheer whites and light pinks have been long favoured.” She wore her long blonde locks down and straight with a centre parting. Her makeup was the perfect daytime look, featuring nude lips and rouged cheekbones. Her jewellery was very simplistic, just a dainty pendant and drop earrings.
