Roku is offering free Apple TV (Image: GETTY • ROKU) Amazon’s Fire TV Stick might be one of the most popular streaming devices on the planet but rival Roku is fighting back. The firm has announced that it is now offering new and existing users the chance to grab a whole three months of Apple TV+ without paying a penny for the privilege. For those not aware, Apple TV+ usually costs £6.99 per month and includes a swathe of shows and original movies including award-winning content such as Ted Lasso, Bad Sisters and Coda. This deal also arrives just in time for the new series of The Morning Show starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. If you have a Roku device or are buying one soon, you simply need to launch the Apple TV+ app and scan the QR code on the screen. You’ll then get full access for 90 days for free – it’s as simple as that. The streaming service is currently allowing customers to sign up for its service and pay just £1.99 per month rather than the usual £7.99. Once again, this deal lasts for three months and includes movies from Star Wars, Pixar and Marvel along with exclusive boxsets and access to National Geographic. Those signing up will also find they can view more mature shows via the included Star platform. This deal from Disney+ is available until next week so there’s not left to sign up and get the discount.
