Josh Allen seemed to have a simple task on Monday Night Football after opposing quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down through injury – but put in a horror performance as the Buffalo Bills were beaten
NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky has told Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen to “grow up” after an “out of control” performance against the New York Jets – but the man himself believes there was a simple explanation for his dismal display.
Allen, 27, committed four turnovers – including having three passes intercepted by Jets safety Jordan Whitehead – during Monday’s 22-16 loss. The Bills quarterback found wide receiver Stefon Diggs only once – during the second quarter to give Buffalo a 9-3 lead.
Placekicker Tyler Bass was responsible for the rest of their points after kicking three field goals throughout the game. That included a 50-yarder in the last seconds of regulation to force overtime.
But, despite Aaron Rodgers ‘ absence, the Jets still prevailed on home turf thanks to a rare punt return touchdown by rookie wide receiver Xavier Gipson. Afterwards, Allen took the blame following one of the worst games of his pro career.
