The Netflix real estate spin-off has returned for its second outing, having released new episodes on Friday, September 8. During the filming of the latest series, there had been plenty of talk around Alex’s love life, including her wedding to then-fiance Sergio Ducoulombier. The pair had been engaged for the past couple of years but her colleague Polly Brindle couldn’t help but label her the ‘ring collector’, joking she had married ‘about 17 times’ already. She admitted that she had been married twice before, making Sergio her third husband, and has been engaged three times prior as well. Alex joked how she ‘definitely had to kiss a few frogs to get to this point’, adding ‘third time’s the charm’. (Image: GETTY) It was during shooting for season two that Alex revealed she and her then-husband-to-be had decided to ‘elope and go to Italy’. Having waited to tie the knot for two years, the pair thought it would be better to have an ‘intimate day’ in Italy rather than a big wedding. She claimed to have ‘everything done’ for the wedding in the series two finale and weeks after shooting was wrapped up, they got married at a villa overlooking Lake Como in Italy. Alex told People: ‘We wanted to have a very intimate and romantic wedding day without all the traditional expectations around us. She continued: ‘We’ve been before and it’s actually where I told him I loved him. ‘He had already told me he loved me, but I held back for a little while.’ Fans will be able to see more of Alex and Sergio as well when the dramatic reality show returns for its third season.
