NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Almost 100 people gathered for a church service in remembrance of the victims of the most prolific serial child murderer in recent memory.
Lucy Letby, a former neonatal nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital, received 14 life sentences in August for the killings of seven infants and attempted killing of six more between 2015 and 2016.
On Sunday night, consultants Dr John Gibbs and Dr Ravi Jayaram, who gave evidence against Letby during her ten-month trial, were among the congregants at Chester Cathedral for a Service of Lament, Prayer and Hope, led by Dean Time Stratford.
During the service, seven candles were lit for Letby’s victims, with an eighth also lit for the suspected victims who have yet to be identified.
