Hampshire Police were called at 5.02pm on Sunday after the two-year-old girl went missing from her home in Kingsley. She was found a short time later in the pond and was taken to hospital in a serious condition but died on Monday afternoon. Last night, a car park near the lake was filled with approximately a dozen police cars as officers gathered to search for missing youngster, BBC reported. A two-year-old girl has died in hospital this afternoon after being found in a pond near her home yesterday.
The youngster was reported missing and found a short time later in Kingsley Pond near Bordon, Hampshire, before being rushed to hospital in a serious condition.
She died on Monday and a woman has been arrested. Hampshire Police said tonight: “A woman, aged in her 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She is currently in police custody.”
