BRUNO FERNANDES was hailed “best in the world” by Manchester United fans as he produced a HAT-TRICK of assists in a record win for Portugal.
The 29-year-old midfielder even managed to get on the scoresheet himself as his country thumped Luxembourg 9-0 in Monday’s Euro 2024 qualifier.
Fernandes turned it on in the 12th minute at the Estadio Algarve as he used the outside of his foot to cross the ball onto the head of Goncalo Inacio for the opener.
He then turned provider for Inacio again just before the break at the end of the first half.
And he grabbed his third assist in the second period, floating a beautiful ball over the top for Liverpool’s Diogo Jota to race on and finish to make it 5-0.
