NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Lil Nas X was the target of a homophobic bomb threat at the Toronto Film Festival on Saturday.
The rapper was at the festival for the world premiere of his documentary, Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero, but his appearance was delayed when a bomb threat was called in.
Sources say the threat ‘specifically targeted the rapper for being a Black queer artist’.
The screening was set to take place at 10pm local time at the venue Roy Thomson Hall, with Carlos Lopez Estrada and Zac Manuel, the documentary’s co-creators, and editor Andrew Morrow arriving on the red carpet first.
