A man who lost his virginity at age 45, as he was born with no penis, has split with his girlfriend after never being with anyone else.
Andrew Wardle, 51, was born with a rare health condition called bladder exstrophy, which means he was born with no penis, one testicle and his bladder outside his body. Doctors were able to fix his bladder so he was able to pass urine but he never developed a penis. In 2018, he had a £50,000 genital reconstruction surgery, giving him a penile mechanical implant.
In the remarkable operation, doctors built his new penis from the skin, muscles and nerves in Andrew’s left arm, and a vein in his leg. The penile implant pumps saline fluid into the cylinder making the penis erect for intercourse. Andrew had sex with his long-term girlfriend Fedra Fabian, 33, not long after the operation and the couple even discussed starting a family together or adopting.
However, now they have split up, according to a source who spoke with the MailOnline. They said: “It’s sad but they have split up after all they have been through. They just drifted apart especially after Fedra had to go back to Budapest to see a sick relative. When someone is very a different country these things can happen. It came to a natural conclusion. It ended about a year ago but they were together for ten years. Andrew hasn’t been with anyone else. He still has to go through some medical procedures.”
