Now a witness has come forward to say they saw someone who fits Khalife's description two miles from prison. The man, who asked not to be identified, saw a "tall, lanky dude with dark hair" run from a BidFood lorry to an eastbound vehicle outside Wandsworth County Court. The Telegraph report that he was alerted when he heard people shouting and cars beeping outside. It comes as Met Police urged a shop assistant to come forward after media reports that he believed he saw Khalife. In a statement, the force said: "We are aware of news reports about a shop assistant who believes they saw Daniel Khalife. We are trying to identify this man so we can speak with him. We urge him to contact us by calling 999." The manhunt continues today, more than 48 hours after his escape was confirmed. An overnight search of Richmond Park in south-west London has also taken place, four miles from Wandsworth prison.
