Keys has been coached throughout the US Open by her fiance and fellow tennis player Bjorn Fratangelo. And during Wednesday's match, Fratangelo was seen giving advice to the 27-year-old star. After the 6-1 6-4 straight-set victory, Keys was asked about the "tactical help" that Fratangelo had provided to her. Madison answered: "To be honest, I couldn't hear s**t out there." Her remark caused the crowd to laugh as the interviewer then replied: "We can't bleep you, Maddie." Keys then eyed Fratangelo in the crowd as she apologized and directed her attention to her fiance. She said while laughing: "Sorry, but yeah, I couldn't [hear] anything you were saying, so I was like, 'yeah sure, got it.'" Fans were left in awe of Keys' NSFW comments on live television.
