A statement from Town said: "The Club is pleased to announce the signing of defender Axel Tuanzebe. "The 25-year-old, who has spent the last week training with Town, joins as a free agent and has signed a one-year deal. The Club has an option to extend his stay for a further 12 months... "He becomes Town's seventh signing following promotion to the Championship and will wear the number 40 shirt during his time with the Blues." Tuanzebe, who had been with the Red Devils since the age of eight, said: "It feels great to finally get the deal over the line. "I had conversations with the manager earlier in the summer, having worked with him previously, and it's great to have a familiar face. "Knowing the calibre of coach he is, it was a good decision to come here because I know the standards he has and how thorough he is.
