Crew Clothing, in Tenterden, Kent , will be pulling down the shutters permanently this weekend - but it's not all bad news for shoppers. 1 The branch in Tenterden, Kent, is closing its doors for the final time on Sunday Credit: Google Customers have until Sunday to make the most of last minute bargains at the Kent store. A notice in the window says: 'Please be aware due to our store clothing permanently on Sunday, September 10, any unwanted online or in-store purchases must be returned prior to this date. 'Cash purchases should be returned asap. 'We would like to thank all of our customers over the years for your loyalty, we will miss you! 'All the girls at Crew.' However, the closing down of this branch does not mean Crew is waving goodbye to shoppers altogether. The popular fashion brand will continue to be stocked at M&S stores across the UK and online. Owned by Brigadier Acquisition Company, the retailer currently employs over 850 people and has no plans of closing down. In fact, 40 new branches are set to open across the next three years. David Butler, CEO of Crew Clothing, told The Times their high street customer rates have returned to pre-pandemic levels. 'It's why Marks & Spencer is investing in stores,' he added. And, M&S is not the only partnership to boost Crew sales, with John Lewis and Next signed up to sell stock. Naomi Parry, Crew Clothing's head of marketing, said: "We place great value in the British Highstreet, wherever commercially viable, and it remains paramount that our customers have access to advice on our products wherever they are in the country. "We therefore continue to invest in all retail formats, including our online and phone shopping experiences and are planning to open 40 new stores over the next three years.
