Rishi Sunak insists he will not rush into trade deal with India

RISHI Sunak insisted yesterday he would not rush into a trade deal with India.

As the PM arrived in New Delhi for the G20 summit, he said he was not setting a deadline for negotiations to finish.

He added that although progress had been made “we’re not there yet”.

Success would make Britain the first European country India has signed a free trade deal with.

The bumper deal would be a massive boost to our economy and a political coup for Rishi.
