Higgins was among the initial players approached regarding the NFL QB’s significant contract extension. The Bengals receiver responded enthusiastically, making a light-hearted remark about his quarterback’s newfound ability to acquire an island. He also underscored his pride in Burrow’s accomplishment.
Regarding getting his wide receivers paid after signing his deal, Burrow said,” Whenever you have guys on the team that need to be paid, that’s always on your mind. You want that to be a focal point, so we are working to make that happen.”
Higgins expressed the magnitude of the contract extension, saying, “That’s life-changing, he could whatever, he could buy an island if he wants to, just very exciting.”
