Kati Lestak, 30, a doctor, and Coco Newton, 27, a neuroscientist, were married on July 15, 2023, at Snape Maltings, near Aldeburgh, in Suffolk
Kati and Coco’s paths must have crossed numerous times as undergraduates at King’s College London. On Wednesday nights, they went to the same sports ground; Kati to play football, and Coco to play hockey. But it took a dating app to bring them together.
Kati was then in her fourth year as a medical student. Coco was in her second year studying biomedical science. Their first date, one evening in June 2016, was at the BFI Southbank bar.
Coco recalls seeing Kati for the first time. “There was this look of a little bit of trepidation but also excitement,”
