However, tonight's show saw her fall back into old habits. Viewers watched as Tyrone was left scrambling to try and buy Ruby new boots ahead of her birthday party. With the mechanic due back in work, Cassie offered to go into town and get them for him. Ty was reluctant at first but handed her the money. After she failed to return, Evelyn and Tyrone went to find her, only to see her unconscious after overdosing on pills. Hope was left in tears as she screamed "she's dead" watching her lifeless grandmother on the cobbles. Thankfully Cassie came around and later discharged herself from hospital and arrived back in Weatherfield. However, she wasn't received well with Tyrone making it clear she couldn't stay at the house. She was forced to go back to the flat as Evelyn moved back in with Ty and the girls. Corrie viewers took to social media to comment on the dramatic scenes. One said: "That was devastating." A second wrote: "Oh my god, can't believe that just happened."
