Her livid 43-year-old dad told ChronicleLive: "They must have found some in the lost property. "They said 'If you don't wear them you will be sent home'. "Both her little toes are now blistered up." The dad, from Gateshead, near Newcastle, said his child was scared of upsetting her parents so squeezed into them. The dad told his youngster to only wear what is comfortable and they will deal with the situation if she gets sent home. Following the saga, the dad has blasted the "not supportive" school and says they should communicate rather than "threatening" to send pupils home. He fumed: "I think they have lost touch with reality completely. It just seems to be a very poorly managed school."
