Neighbour says YouTuber Ruby Franke’s family showed red flags before child abuse arrest

A neighbour of YouTuber Ruby Franke has spoken out about the family’s strange change in behaviour in the months leading up to the arrest of the disgraced YouTuber in Ivins, Utah

The family of YouTuber Ruby Franke apparently showed chilling red flags and signs of change in the months leading up to her arrest for alleged child abuse, according to a neighbour.

41-year-old Franke was arrested along with her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt on August 31 after one of Franke’s children escaped Hildebrandt’s Ivins, Utah, home and ran to a neighbour to beg for food and help. The young boy was found malnourished, with open wounds and duct tape on his wrists and ankles.

Franke and husband Kevin Franke’s 10-year-old daughter was also found at Hildebrandt’s home in a similar malnourished condition to her 12-year-old brother. Franke, who ran the popular YouTube channel ‘8 Passengers’ has been charged with six counts of felony child abuse by the Washington County Attorney in Utah. Hildebrandt has been charged with the same six counts.
