She drunkenly messaged Joel on Instagram with a cat emoji back in 2016 - and he was feline something brewing so they began chatting some more and sparks quickly flew. The pair began dating soon after and pictured together for the first time in May 2017. They're clearly fans of strange behaviour. Joel spoke about the moment he proposed in a rather curious way, too. He talked the Mirror through it and said: "She came home and I read out the last page on one knee, in our flat, candles everywhere, I was in a tux - sweating. "The best bit was I put on a classical playlist and it was bumming me out a bit, so just before she got home I put on a soundtrack list on Spotify. Just as I was going down on one knee, the Jurassic Park theme tune came on, so I proposed to Jurassic Park." The cute pair got married in September 2019 in Mykonos, Greece. Speaking to OK! in 2020, Dommett revealed all about the ceremony. He said: 'I was fully prepared to say it was the best day of my life and pretend it was — because I've been lucky enough to do Bake Off and I've had these amazing experiences in my life — but it was genuinely the best day of my life!'
