Alexander Zverev furious over Adolf Hitler slur made by US Open spectator

NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

German tennis star Alexander Zverev was left furious and stopped play after a US Open fan made an Adolf Hitler slur towards him on Tuesday.

The incident occurred during the world No.12’s five-set victory over Italian sixth-seed Jannik Sinner in the last 16 at the Grand Slam in New York.

‘He just said the most famous Hitler phrase there is. It is unacceptable,’ Zverev told British umpire James Keothavong after hearing the slur from the crowd.

Keothavong turned around and urged fans inside Arthur Ashe Stadium to be respectful to the players as security were seen kicking out a middle-aged man.
