LIDL is the latest supermarket to announce wage increases for employees.
The bargain store is now one of the highest paying in the sector, levelling up with rival Aldi.
Thousands of employees will see their hourly pay rates increase by up to 16%.
Lidl store and warehouse staff outside of the M25 will get an hourly pay increase of £11.40, up from £11, rising to £12.30 with length of service.
