KASPER SCHMEICHEL has made an almost immediate return to football after seeing his contract terminated at OCG Nice on deadline day.
The former Leicester City goalkeeper left Nice last week after he and the French outfit agreed to rip up his contract with hours remaining of the transfer window.
And it hasn’t taken him long at all to find a new home with the 36-year-old joining Belgian side RSC Anderlecht.
The Purple and White have signed Schmeichel on a one-year contract that will see him at the club until June 2024.
Speaking to the official Anderlecht website, he said: “After speaking with [Sports CEO] Jesper [Fredbeg] and [Manager] Brian [Riemer], I was very excited about the project that they’re putting in place.
