A group of female skydivers have set a new record for the largest mid-air upside-down formation.
The 12 women managed to complete a successful “head-down” formation while plummeting to earth at about 120mph, achieving a new British women’s record.
The complex manoeuvre was completed about 4,270m (14,000ft) in the air and required the women to fly together with their heads facing downwards while holding onto each other’s arms.
Once the skydivers had completed the jump above the Nottinghamshire countryside they then went on to set another record on the same day.
The second jump, which was also a first for British women skydivers, involved ten of the same women building a shape mid-air before letting go and reforming again nearer the ground.
