Back down to earth with a thud for England after two thumping victories over New Zealand. In another horribly one-sided contest, this was a deep disappointment of their own after New Zealand had made an imposing 202 for five thanks to a rollicking partnership of 88 in only 47 balls between the man of the match, Finn Allen, and Glenn Phillips.
In response, on a surface that took turn and was suited to into-the-pitch cutters from the quicker bowlers, England were simply never in the hunt, bowled out for only 128, as the visitors used those conditions much more smartly, with their spinners in particular totally out-bowling their England counterparts.
