Witnesses say a car pulled up outside a hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, but as the passengers desperately pleaded for help another car pulled up and started opening fire
Two women have been killed and more wounded in an early morning shooting outside a hospital.
Witnesses said that before 2.30 am on Monday a car pulled up outside University of Alabama Birmingham hospital, with those inside desperately looking for treatment for gunshot injuries.
But as they pleaded for help, a car pulled up behind the SUV and began opening fire. The hail of gunfire broke a hospital window and hit a nearby police car, reports AL.com.
It is believed those injured were shot at a nearby nightclub – the Aria Restaurant and Lounge. The incident is being investigated as a double homicide. Police confirm two women were shot and killed just after 2 am.
