The news was shared on Instagram by Variety, and one person who clearly isn't a fan of the sitcom took to the comments section. They wrote: 'Tried to watch it… it was so cringe… who thought this would ever be a good idea? Everything was done in the original, they covered it all…' Hilary, 35, didn't appreciate the criticism and decided to respond by using their follower count as an insult (which does feel slightly Black Mirror-esque). 'You have 63 followers,' Hilary, who has 26.5 million Instagram followers, wrote. Future Sophie, and a narration by Kim Cattrall, revealed the details that led to motherhood. In the original series, it was Ted Mosby, played by Josh Radnor, telling his children and Bob Saget provided the voice for older Ted during the narration. 'In the near future, Sophie is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the present where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options,' the synopsis reads.
