Jamie has even confessed that he has sent story suggestions via text message to bosses of the Walford soap in a bid to land him a huge new plot. Chatting to Inside Soap , Jamie said: "Until recently I've never gone out of my way to seriously suggest a storyline to the writers. "I'll always drop a bit of banter, but just the other day, for the first time, I did actually text Chris Clenshaw [EastEnders executive producer]. "I asked him 'What do you think about...?'" It seems that it may have worked in Jamie's favour as he added that the story suggestion was not completely ruled out. He continued to the publication: "A seed was planted, it wasn't pooh-poohed, so watch this space! "If it comes to fruition, I will let you know – I will say, 'See! Remember when I said about the story? This is the story!'" Elsewhere in the interview, Jamie opened up on his desires to film more scenes and work on bigger storylines with EastEnders heavyweights such as Natalie Cassidy and Lacey Turner . Natalie plays long-running character Sonia Fowler whilst Lacey has won an abundance of awards for her formidable portrayal of Stacey Slater. Jamie said: "Me and Lacey are incredibly close in real life , I call her Big Sis, she calls me Little Bro. "But Stacey and Jay are poles apart on screen!
