Hozier, the Irish singer-songwriter, is celebrating the success of his third album by adding a guest house and gym to his 18th-century home.
The star lives in Oldfort outside Newcastle and has asked Wicklow council for permission to add a two-storey, two-bed guest lodge and a gym with a pitched roof and rooflights.
Hozier, whose full name is Andrew Hozier-Byrne, shot to fame with songs such as Take Me to Church, which in 2013 sold ten million copies and was streamed 80 million times.
He bought Oldfort in 2015 and applied to build a swimming pool with a retractable roof.
